Data as of: As of 12 October 2026, morning

Total of projects with stated value167.7EUR m
New entries since 11 Oct morning (catch-up only)1
Industrial output Aug 2026, year on year−5.4% −5.40 %
New jobs (stated)530

Since Sunday morning (11 October), authorities, the statistics office NSI and media in Bulgaria have reported no new investment projects with amounts or jobs, and no layoffs. The table therefore stays almost the same: the total of projects with a stated value is EUR 167.7m, and stated new jobs number 530.

Catch-up from Saturday (10 October): Innovation and Digital Transformation Minister Ivan Vasilev told the forum in Sliven that nearly EUR 83m is planned for green technologies in micro, small and medium-sized firms – for machinery, facilities, equipment and software. He did not say when applications will open. This is a funding programme, not a project, so it is not counted in the total.

This week: Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Alexander Poulev is leading a business mission to the US from 11 to 16 October with 30 representatives of 20 companies from defence, high technology and space (BTA). Meetings with Lockheed Martin, SpaceX and Boeing are planned, as is the exhibition of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA, 12–14 October). No amounts or contracts were given.

Key date: on Wednesday, 14 October, the NSI publishes final September inflation. The flash estimate was 5.6% year on year and −0.3% versus August (so prices fell slightly over the month). The latest industry data remain those of 9 October: output in August was 5.4% below a year earlier.
