Sofia bourse week: SOFIX up 1.58%, all main indices higher

SOFIX ended the week at 1,532.26 points, and BGBX40, BGTR30 and BGREIT also gained. Euro Invest Management and Shelly Group had the highest weekly turnover. Energy stocks barely traded.

SOFIX, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange's main index, closed the week of 5–9 October at 1,532.26 points. That is a weekly gain of 1.58% (23.81 points), including a 0.91% rise on Friday. The week before, SOFIX had gained 2.2%.

The other indices also rose over the week, according to infostock.bg: BGBX40 (the 40 most liquid shares) by 1.09% to 248.18, BGTR30 (30 equally weighted shares) by 0.31% to 1,160.90 and the real-estate index BGREIT by 0.29% to 243.99. Trading in SOFIX shares totalled about €1.78 million for the week.

According to Investor.bg, Euro Invest Management had the highest weekly turnover (€2 million), followed by Shelly Group (€579,000), First Investment Bank (€416,000), Sopharma (€380,000) and Eurohold Bulgaria (€224,000).

Energy stocks barely traded. Petrol (€0.316) and Synergon Holding (€0.462) last traded on 8 October, the FEEI REIT (€0.65) on 5 October and Toplivo (€4.20) on 28 September. We found no new company news from the sector this week.

Bulgarian power exchange for Saturday: €136.46/MWh, cheaper by day than by night

Wall Street rises after weak jobs data, Nasdaq leads

DAX rebounds 1.2% on Friday but ends the week slightly lower

Weak US jobs data and falling oil prices lifted the Frankfurt stock exchange. Chipmaker Infineon jumped almost 9%.
